| Margie
Brown was appointed Director of the JJC's
Office of Education in February, 2006. Prior
to this appointment, she served as the JJC's
Assistant Superintendent of Schools Administration.
Over the last twenty years, Ms. Brown has
held the titles of Learning Consultant and
Assistant Supervisor of Education at the
Lloyd McCorkle Training School at Skillman;
Consultant of Curriculum and Instruction
in the Office of Educational Services at
the Department of Corrections; and Regional
Educational Manager for Community Programs
in the Office of Education at the Department
of Human Services and the Juvenile Justice
Commission. |

| Ms.
Brown is a member of the Executive Board
of Directors of the New Jersey Chapter of
the American Correctional Association (ACA).
She also holds the office of recording secretary,
serves as chairperson of the Nominations
Committee for annual board elections, and
chairs the Arrangements and Registration
Committees for the annual fall conference.

| Ms.
Brown is also a member of the Executive
Board of Directors of the New Jersey Chapter
of the Correctional Education Association
(CEA), where she serves the board secretary,
the annual conference co-chair, and as an
auditor for the Standards and Accreditation
Department. |

| As
a member of the New Jersey Chapter of the
Juvenile Detention Association (NJJDA),
she is a member of the annual Conference
Planning Committee which coordinates training
and assists with registration and funding.

| Ms.
Brown is a graduate of Princeton University
with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology
and Teacher Preparation. She obtained a
Master's of Education degree from the College
of New Jersey. |
